Founder & CEO
John Leary is the founder and CEO of Medicare for Employers, bringing together decades of healthcare industry experience with personal Medicare knowledge to help organizations navigate the growing challenge of an aging workforce.
John isn't just a Medicare expert—he's a licensed Medicare Advisor and a Medicare beneficiary himself, providing firsthand understanding of the system he helps employers navigate.
He also has many years of experience (with Marathon Health, Virgin Pulse, Harvard Pilgrim and others) working with the C-Suite to improving the health of employees and the bottom line of employers
This unique combination of personal Medicare experience, deep understanding of both employer and employee perspectives, and comprehensive healthcare industry expertise brings great value to those we serve.

Ken is a seasoned healthcare executive with 35+ years of experience growing and leading large health plan organizations such as Cigna (now HealthSpring) and Anthem (now Elevance Health) where he had P&L accountability for 30 million medical members. Ken provides sage advice and guidance about the perspectives of health plans and employers and how they and their employees will benefit from Medicare for Employers.
Patrick Thornton
Patrick is currently SVP at Fifth Third Bank with a focus on corporate banking. Prior to that, he served in a similar role for JP Morgan and at Wachovia Securities. As a CPA and holding an MBA degree from Notre Dame, Patrick provides valuable go to market insights particularly in regard to corporate financial leadership and how Medicare for Employers can have a profound impact on the organization's bottom line.
Mindy Fox
Mindy is a Partner at Yellow Brick Strategic Advisors where she helps healthcare and benefits innovators accelerate their growth. Prior to co-founding Yellow Brick, she held senior executive roles at Optum and Mercer.
